Former Ohio State guard Kelsey Mitchell and the Indiana Fever will look to improve an 8-4 record at home this season when they host the Golden State Valkyries at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse on July 15.

Mitchell, Ohio State basketball's all-time leading scorer, led the Fever on July 12 with 27 points in a 109-75 road victory over the reigning WNBA champion Las Vegas Aces and four-time league MVP A'ja Wilson. Mitchell also became the fifth player in WNBA history to score at least 25 points in six consecutive games, according to the Associated Press. The five others were Wilson, Tina Charles, Arike Ogunbowale and Maya Moore.

Through 23 games, Mitchell is averaging the highest point total in her nine-year WNBA career with 22.7.


At 14-9, the Fever face the 17-7 Valkyries. Forward Gabby Williams leads Golden State in points per game (15) and steals per game (1.6).
