The St. John's Red Storm is having another outstanding season.
And now they're looking for even bigger and better things as March Madness arrives.
Rick Pitino, in his third year as St. John's head coach, has led the Red Storm to consecutive Big East regular-season titles and Big East Tournament championships.
St. John's concluded its memorable Big East Tournament run on Saturday night with a dominating 72-52 victory over coach Dan Hurley and his Connecticut Huskies in the final at Madison Square Garden.
St. John's is led by Zuby Ejiofor, who was named Big East Player of the Year and Most Outstanding Player of the Big East Tournament this season. He averaged 16.0 points, 7.1 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.0 blocks per game during the regular season.
Entering the weekend, the St. John's Red Storm were projected to be the No. 5 seed in the South Region by ESPN's Joe Lunardi. Will they move up now that they won the Big East Tournament?
St. John's will find out its seed and first-round opponent on Selection Sunday, March 15.
