AUBURN — With a program record in tow, Auburn baseball came into the weekend winners of its past six series. Another would've pushed it to new heights, but that meant besting No. 4 Georgia, another one of the nation's hottest squads.

It ultimately went the way of the Bulldogs, who won the first two of three games at Plainsman Park over the weekend.

That did some damage to Auburn's top-25 standings, as the Tigers slid in four of the five major polls this week. However, Auburn is still a consensus top-10 team, sitting no lower than eighth nationally but no higher than six.

This week's USA TODAY Coaches Poll was the only listing in which Auburn didn't take a step back, coming in at No. 6 for a second consecutive week. Here's a look at the latest rankings and where Auburn stands.
