MADISON – Over the next three days, 257 players will have their names called during the 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay.
A handful of them will be Wisconsin natives, Wisconsin Badgers or former Badgers who finished their college career elsewhere.
First, a few tidbits to consider:
So without further ado, here is the list:
Height: 6-foot-4
Weight: 303 pounds
Draft projection: Third round
The skinny: The former Wauwatosa East standout is on track to be the first athlete in school history to make an NFL roster. His story included playing on a winless team as a high school senior and having the scholarship he accepted to Arizona State pulled because of overrecruiting. Purdue, however, proved to be an ideal landing spot. He was a three-time All-Big Ten honorable-mention selection who started at right tackle last season and at right guard in 2022 and in 2023 when his season was cut short after six games due to a leg injury. Also a former basketball standout, Mbow’s athleticism and light feet have been assets. He is projected to move back to guard in the NFL.
Height: 6-6
Weight: 311 pounds
Draft projection: Third to fourth round
The skinny: The former five-star recruit spent four seasons, including one redshirt year, at Wisconsin but never could lock down a starting role. He played in 26 games in Madison with three starts. After being dismissed from the team after six games in 2022, he landed at Kansas and thrived last season. He started every game and was a second-team All-Big 12 selection.
Height: 6-1
Weight: 196 pounds
Draft projection: Fifth round
The skinny: Opinion is split on the former Wisconsin Badgers and Waukesha North standout. ESPN has him going in the fifth round. The Athletic, NFL.com and CBS see him see him getting selected as early as the fourth round. Pro Football Focus projects him as a free agent. What isn’t up for question is Dike’s ability to run – he was clocked at 4.34 in the 40-yard dash at the NFL scouting combine – or his leadership as he was a captain at UW and Florida. He started 11 of the final 12 games last season, led the team with 42 catches and gained a career-high 783 yards. He also returned punts, a role he also filled at Wisconsin.
Height: 6-7
Weight: 314 pounds
Draft projection: Fifth round
The skinny: The Stoughton native played in 50 games for the Badgers, serving as the starting right guard as a redshirt freshman and manning the left tackle spot for the past three seasons. He was an honorable-mention All-Big Ten selection in 2021 and 2022 but, according to Pro Football Focus, his best season was last year when his overall score of 79.9 was seven points better than his second-best season (2022). That rating ranked fifth in the Big Ten among tackles with at least 750 snaps. Nelson’s father, Todd, played for the Badgers and was drafted in the 12th round by the Phoenix Cardinals in 1989. His brother, Barrett, is a redshirt junior for UW this year.
Height: 6-2
Weight: 213 pounds
Draft projection: Fifth to seventh round
The skinny: The former Muskego High School star started for the Badgers the past two seasons. His junior season was his best as he led all Big Ten defensive backs with 120 tackles, the most for a Badgers DB since 1991, and was a first-team All-Big Ten selection while playing a hybrid safety/linebacker position that gave him a greater role in run defense. His numbers dropped last season (71 tackles, zero interceptions) while playing for a unit that ranked 16th out of 18 teams in defense. He has a chance to be the first Muskego graduate to make an NFL roster.
Height: 6-5
Weight: 310 pounds
Draft projection: Fifth to sixth round
The skinny: Based on accolades, Huber was the Badgers’ top offensive lineman last season, receiving third-team All-Big Ten distinction. Versatility and durability are strengths for this Dublin, Ohio, native who started his career at Cincinnati as a walk-on. He started at right tackle as redshirt sophomore at Cincinnati, then served as the starting left guard at Wisconsin in 2023 before starting at right guard last season. He didn’t miss a game in his final three seasons.
Height: 6-6
Weight: 310 pounds
Draft projection: Sixth to seventh round
The skinny: The Kettle Moraine High School graduate played in 34 games for Wisconsin that included eight starts during the 2022 season. He blossomed at Indiana and helped the Hoosiers reach the College Football Playoff, starting every game on a line considered one of the best in the nation. Pro Football Focus rated him as the No. 3 tackle in the Big Ten among players with at least 750 snaps. He could land at guard in the NFL, a position he got some work at while at Wisconsin.

First, a few tidbits to consider:
- The Badgers have had a player selected in each draft since 1979 and have had an offensive lineman picked in the past six drafts.
- The state of Wisconsin has sent at least one player to the NFL every year since 1991. That includes first-round picks the past two seasons.
So without further ado, here is the list:

Florida WR Chimere Dike #BuildingTheBoard
There’s something to be said about a receiver who walks into a brand-new program and earns captain status in just one year. That’s Dike. After transferring from Wisconsin to Florida, Dike found himself in an offense that didn’t ask him… pic.twitter.com/3lXsDAUYGa

Wisconsin Safety Hunter Wohler #BuildingTheBoard
