The Florida State Seminoles baseball team has had a strong start to the 2026 season, going 19-5 overall and sitting atop the ACC standings at 5-1. They will put that record to the test on Friday night when they host the Duke Blue Devils.

The strong start has caught the attention of Jacob Rudner at Baseball America, who recently projected the NCAA Tournament bracket. The Seminoles earned the No. 8 overall seed, putting them in line to host the Tallahassee Regional for the third straight season and potentially a Super Regional.

He has them matched up with the Tennessee Volunteers, Arkansas State Red Wolves, and Florida Gulf Coast Eagles. FSU is 7-6 against Tennessee all-time, with the Vols eliminating them in the 2024 College World Series. They are 13-7 against Florida Gulf Coast and have never played Arkansas State.

The ACC is well represented with 10 teams in the field of 64, the second most of any conference behind the SEC's 13. Georgia Tech, Virginia, and North Carolina are also in line to earn national seeds and host regionals.

FSU's game against Duke is set to start at 6 p.m. ET in Dick Howser Stadium. The game will be streamed on ESPN+ and is sold out.
