With SEC media days in the books and fall camp only a few weeks away, the college football world is reaching the end of the offseason.

At this point in the yearly media cycle, preseason lists and polls become abundant. One of the more reliable media polls is the 247Sports preseason SEC poll, which is voted on by the beat writers of 12 different sites from the network. Because these writers are focused on the Southeastern Conference, compared to the entire nation, they offer a particular set of insights that should help make the list more accurate.

Florida checks in at No. 10 as the Jon Sumrall era begins in Gainesville. It's a similar starting point to last year, despite sweeping changes over the past nine months. The Gators began the 2025 campaign at No. 9 and finished at No. 12. The hope is that Year 1 under Sumrall can bring some brighter days and leave a good taste in everyone's mouth by December.

247Sports will update these rankings week-by-week once the regular season begins. Florida opens the season on Sep. 5 against Florida Atlantic. Fall camps start one month before that on Aug. 5.
