The 2025 NFL draft, which will occur inside historic Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin, is just one day away.

Thirty-two players will hear their names called during the first round on Thursday night. This should include Texas A&M edge Shemar Stewart, who stood out during the NFL Combine due to his elite traits after shedding weight this offseason. However, defensive end Nic Scourton and defensive tackle Shemar Turner are also expected to be drafted in the second and third rounds on Friday night.

For Texas A&M coach Mike Elko, this is a significant win that should result in more recruiting success. The Aggies aim to produce more draft picks during his tenure, and while three isn't a large number for draft selections, that's only due to the age of the roster. Starting offensive linemen Trey Zuhn III and Ar'maj Reed-Adams could have declared but chose to return for a final season in College Station.

During Texas A&M football's vast history, dating back to the first NFL draft in 1938, Texas A&M has had 306 players drafted, which, among every SEC program, which now includes Oklahoma and Texas, the Aggies rank eighth among all sixteen teams, which will increase to 309 after Saturday afternoon.

  1. Oklahoma (417)
  2. Alabama (411)
  3. LSU (381)
  4. Georgia (379)
  5. Florida (373)
  6. Texas (368)
  7. Tennessee (363)
  8. Texas A&M (306)
  9. Auburn (300)
  10. Arkansas (281)
  11. Ole Miss (261)
  12. Missouri (232)
  13. South Carolina (221)
  14. Kentucky (216)
  15. Mississippi State (212)
  16. Vanderbilt (126)

Since 1938, Texas A&M has seen 30-plus players drafted in the first round, including a Hall of Famer (Yale Lary) and 29 Pro Bowl selected players. In the last 20 years, defensive ends Myles Garrett and Von Miller are on their way to the Hall of Fame, while wide receiver Mike Evans has also likely cemented his name in Canton.

The 2025 NFL Draft is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. CT. on Thursday, April 24.
