The 2026 Frozen Four is set, with college hockey's most decorated programs set to battle it out for the right to add another trophy to the case back home.
No. 1 seed Michigan, No. 2 North Dakota, Denver and Wisconsin emerged from (mostly) neutral-site regionals to form a remarkable final quartet. Those schools also happen to rank as the top four in all-time NCAA men's hockey titles: Denver has 10, Michigan nine, North Dakota eight and Wisconsin six.
The Pioneers have the most recent title of the group, winning in 2024, and they knocked out the reigning champion and No. 4 national seed Western Michigan in a friendly regional played about an hour from their on-campus home. The Bison last took the crown in 2016, the Badgers in 2006 and the Wolverines way back in 1998.
In a group of champions, Michigan is due, but nothing ever comes easy in this tournament. The Wolverines had a reminder of that after holding off a furious Minnesota Duluth comeback in the regional final — and in watching from afar as arch rival and No. 2 seed Michigan State blew a two-goal lead in the final five minutes against Wisconsin and lost in overtime.

When and where is the Frozen Four in 2026?

The NCAA hockey tournament takes a week off between regionals and the Frozen Four, so the regional winners will have a chance to regroup before the national semifinals on April 9. See the full game schedule below.
This year's Frozen Four will be held in Las Vegas for the first time, with all three games set to be played at T-Mobile Arena, home of the NHL's Vegas Golden Knights.
