The United States Men's National Team has already clinched first place in its World Cup group, and with that, a spot in the knockout rounds. But it still has one group game left to play.
The Americans knocked off Paraguay, 4-1, in their opening match before shutting down Australia, 2-0.
Star striker Christian Pulisic was held out of the second half of the Paraguay win and the entire bout with Australia after he was kicked in the calf in the first game. The move was mostly precautionary, though, and Pulisic will likely sit out Team USA’s last group match with the contest carrying little weight.
Team USA will next face Türkiye later this week. Here’s everything you need to know about the matchup:

Time: 10 p.m.

The U.S. will face Türkiye in SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, on Thursday in a game where it can’t improve its standing. Türkiye is at the bottom of Group D and has already been eliminated from contention after losses to both Australia and Paraguay.
Besides Pulisic, the U.S. might also rest some or all of its four players with yellow cards, since they reset after the group matches. If a player accumulates two yellow cards in two different group matches, they'd have to sit out the United States' Round of 32 game.
Team USA's Tyler Adams, Folarin Balogun, Chris Richards and Antonee Robinson have all been handed yellow cards thus far. Any of the four being out for an entire match would be a major blow.
After Thursday’s game, Team USA will be intently following the scores of the final group matches to determine its Round of 32 opponent. Currently, it would face the third place team in one of Group B, E, F, I or J.
