When Bey spoke about younger players being “thrown into the fire,” he was referring specifically to rookies Derik Queen and Jeremiah Fears, both of whom have been asked to handle meaningful minutes and late-game situations early in their careers. “They’re doing a great job,” Bey said. “They’re getting thrown into the fire. They get a lot of playing time, a lot of end-of-game situations. So it’s them just learning on the fly. They’re picking it up well. They’re really coachable. So I’m just happy to see their development.”
