Milwaukee Brewers fans who typically catch local broadcasts on cable or satellite won't know exactly which channel will carry the game until Opening Day, March 26, although there are certainly some clues.

Having switched from Main Street Sports – the company overseeing FanDuel Sports Wisconsin – to broadcasts produced and distributed by Major League Baseball, the Brewers have been heavily promoting their Brewers.TV option, which includes a full-season plan for $99.99 and monthly plans for $19.99.

But, according to a Brewers news release March 23, MLB is still "finalizing distribution agreements for satellite and cable providers of Brewers games for the 2026 season. Exact channel information will be announced on Opening Day and when carrier deals are finalized, the Brewers will share this information broadly. Fans who previously accessed Brewers games through their cable or satellite provider are expected to retain similar access once agreements are completed."

In Milwaukee, Channel 308 and 1308 on Spectrum cable have been set aside as the BREW channel, though the channel currently lacks any programming, except for a blue screen. It's the same channel in the Green Bay/Fox Valley market. But it might be on different channels in other Spectrum markets.

There has been no indication from the Brewers or MLB that customers who routinely accessed games through cable or satellite in previous years would need a plan upgrade to watch in 2026, nor have other markets switching to MLB broadcasts over the past two years experienced a widespread upgrade requirement.

It still bears mentioning that MLB has to separately negotiate distribution deals with all carriers, which is probably the best explanation for the late-arriving details.

The good news for Opening Day is that the March 26 broadcast will also be available over-the-air in markets across Wisconsin, one of 10 games this season to be simulcast over-the air. Milwaukee's second game takes place Saturday, March 28, with teams getting a day off March 27 between the opener and Game 2.

The Brewers have provided a frequently asked questions page for more on broadcasts.
