The ‘Boys are back in town.
Or at least they will be by the end of the month.
The Dallas Cowboys will arrive July 28 for their 47th training camp in Ventura County and 20th in Oxnard under owner Jerry Jones.
The NFL team will train at River Ridge Fields from July 29 to Aug. 18.
"Oxnard has become a cherished part of our team's preseason tradition over the past two decades,” Jones said in a statement. “The incredible support from the community, outstanding facilities and welcoming atmosphere have created an environment that allows our players, staff and fans to come together in a way that's truly special.”
“We're excited to return for another summer and celebrate this milestone season with everyone who has helped make it possible.”

Visit Oxnard will host its fifth annual Fan Night, featuring the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and mascot Rowdy, at The Collection at RiverPark on Friday, July 31. The nonprofit Visit Oxnard is overseen by the Oxnard Convention & Visitors Bureau.
Super Bowl champions Charles Haley and Nate Newton are scheduled to sign autographs.
The free event, which will include trivia, giveaways and live entertainment, begins at 4 p.m. and will be hosted by local radio personalities Odell Davis "Junior LLedo" and Francis Ampiaw, known as Francois the Great, of Luminary Sound.
“Twenty years of Cowboys Camp in Oxnard represents a legacy built through partnership and a shared commitment to creating an exceptional fan experience,” said Brittney Hendricks, the president and CEO of Visit Oxnard, in a statement. “Each summer, fans have the opportunity to connect with their favorite team while experiencing everything that makes Oxnard special. From our beaches and coastal lifestyle to the welcoming spirit of our residents.”

Free, open practices are scheduled for July 29 and 30, Aug. 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 13, 14 and 17.
VIP fan experiences can be purchased on Seatgeek. Sideline access starts at $20. Entrance to the Yaamava Hospitality Deck, with shaded seating along the south sideline, starts at $100 and rises to $150 for weekends and joint practice.
Fan experiences include entrance to the fields 30 minutes early.
Parking at River Ridge Fields, located at 2501 Ventura Road in Oxnard, is $20 per day for small vehicles and $40 for large vehicles. Only cash is accepted.
The Cowboys Back Together event, which includes the pomp and circumstance of the opening ceremony, is Saturday, Aug. 1.
The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders dance clinic is Sunday, Aug. 2, at Rio Mesa High.
The team will host NFL FLAG training camp, a skills camp for children ages 6 to 13. The new event arrives Wednesday, Aug. 5, at 11:30 a.m.
The Cowboys will honor military, first responders and healthcare workers during Heroes Appreciation Day on Thursday, Aug. 6.
Training camp will close with perhaps the biggest day of the team’s preseason in Oxnard, a joint practice with the New Orleans Saints on Tuesday, Aug. 18.
The Cowboys will also visit the Los Angeles Rams for a joint practice in Woodland Hills on Tuesday, Aug. 11.
“This tradition has become part of the fabric of our community, and we're proud to welcome generations of Cowboys fans back to Oxnard every summer,” Hendricks said.
“America’s Team” was 7-9-1 a year ago, missing the playoffs for the second straight season. Head coach Brian Schottenheimer returns for his second season with a new defensive coordinator, 34-year-old Christian Parker.
Dallas is scheduled to play preseason games Sunday, Aug. 15, at Seattle, Saturday, Aug. 22, at Arizona and Friday, Aug. 28, against visiting New Orleans.
Two locals are on the roster as training camp approaches. Punter Bryan Anger, a two-time Pro Bowler, is a 15-year veteran from Camarillo High.
Defensive tackle Jay Toia, a 2025 seventh-round draft pick from Grace School in Simi Valley and UCLA, is beginning his second season.
