University of West Florida has a full schedule for its first Division I season.
The Argos will open against Southern Illinois on August 27 to kick off the 11-game season, which includes five home games and seven United Athletic Conference games.
This is the first of a three-year probationary period for UWF, which means they’re eligible to win a UAC championship but won’t be able to compete in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) playoffs. UWF finished 11-2 in its last season in Division II, falling to Newberry in the Super Region 2 semifinals.
Here’s what to know about every opponent from UWF’s first season. All times are Central time.
When: Aug. 27, 7 p.m.
Where: PenAir Field, Pensacola
Analysis: UWF’s first Division I game will come against a Salukis team that went 7-5 and beat eventual FCS runner-up Illinois State to end 2025. Quarterback DJ Williams was a Walter Payton Offensive Player of the Year finalist and is returning for his sixth and final year of eligibility.
When: Sept. 5, 6 p.m.
