After three games decided in the final moments, the Stanley Cup Finals finally had a win by more than one goal.
The Hurricanes took Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals 5-3 Tuesday, knotting the series at two games apiece. Jordan Staal led the way for Carolina in this one with two goals, and Nikolaj Ehlers had a goal of his own, alongside two assists.
Looking ahead to Game 5, the Hurricanes will need to keep up their presence in goal. After Frederik Andersen's struggles in Game 3, Brandon Bussi has provided more stability for the Hurricanes. He'll need to keep up this strong defensive run should Carolina hope to stay ahead in the most impactful games of the series.
For the Knights, they are consistently plagued by early pressure. When they fall behind in games, it's due to a team scoring multiple goals in rapid succession or scoring soon after a puck drop. In this case, the Knights were already down 2-0 in Game 4 after just four minutes. These defensive lapses can not continue, should the Knights hope to hoist the Stanley Cup trophy once again.
