The top SEC gymnastics rivalry renews to have the stage all to itself Sunday.
Florida gymnastics will welcome in LSU to the O’Connell Center in Gainesville. It’ll be the two’s 39th meeting in Alachua County. The Gators hold a record of 30-8 at home and have won the last three straight.
The Tigers, though, have won four in a row in the storied rivalry. This includes two SEC Championships, the 2024 NCAA Championship and the regular season meeting in Baton Rouge last January.
The Bayou Bengals began their road season with a stunning loss at Georgia. They responded well with a victory at Missouri, followed by a close loss at No. 1 ranked Oklahoma.
The Gators, meanwhile, have been unbelievable at home this season. Florida’s five best scores this season have all come at home, and UF’s only home loss to those Sooners was its first at home in over two years.
All in all, it promises to be a dramatic meet between two of the SEC’s best with second place on the line. Oklahoma already is the outright winner of the conference with wins over both teams.
