The Miami Dolphins have wrapped up the 2026 NFL draft and their rookie minicamp, so they'll move on to the next phase of their offseason program, which continues Monday with the start of organized team activities (OTAs).
What can we expect to see from the Dolphins during this phase?
Per the most recent collective bargaining agreement, teams are allowed to hold up to 10 OTA sessions in an offseason. During these sessions, players are allowed to wear helmets as well as protective knee and elbow pads, but other pads are prohibited.
Teams are able to hold 7-on-7, 9-on-7 and 11-on-11 drills in OTAs, but teams are not allowed to have live contact.
Over the last few weeks, players have been in the classroom and on the field sparingly as they learn what the Dolphins want them to do in 2026, especially with a new coaching staff running things.
Now, they'll have a chance to learn more on the field and get the feedback necessary from their coaches and peers, as they aim to earn opportunities during training camp and the regular season.
