The Westmont Hilltop girls golf team and six area individuals will compete in the PIAA Class 2A championships at Penn State's White Course from Monday through Wednesday.
Bedford sophomore Gavin Kolander (District 5 runner-up), Central Cambria sophomore Andrew Kasecky (fifth in District 6) and Conemaugh Township senior Ben Steinbeck (two-time District 5 champ) will play in the boys tournament that begins at 9 a.m. Monday and goes through Tuesday.
Bishop Carroll Catholic senior Sarah Miller (District 6 third-place finisher), North Star senior Madeline Perrin (District 5 champion) and Rockwood senior Addie Barto (District 5 runner-up) will compete in the girls tournament Monday and Tuesday. Miller also competed in 2023 as a sophomore.
Junior Kelly Mullen, sophomores Josie Hill and Camille Wesner and freshmen Halle Clement and Gabby Filia make up Westmont Hilltop's team, which won its fourth District 6 title in the past six seasons. The Hilltoppers play in a one-day tournament Wednesday in State College.
