West Ham United are eyeing a possible deal for former Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy, according to Sky Sports. West Ham manager Nuno Espirito Santo wants to bring a striker to the London Stadium club before the end of the summer transfer window. Vardy, who is a free agent after his contract at Cremonese came to an end last season, is an option for the Hammers. However, nothing has progressed yet and talks are not currently taking place.
It will be intriguing to see if anything develops, but Vardy could have something to offer as West Ham eye an immediate return to the Premier League. The 39-year-old made 29 appearances in Serie A last term, starting 24 times and weighing in with seven goals and two assists.
