How much would u pay them?
Actual dollars? No idea...as for structure, I'd give Murray something on par with Lamar. For Murphy and Thompson I give a good $ amount, but maybe shorter term, to keep the carrot out there. They have both shown great playmaking ability, but maybe Cards aren't sold on super long-term deals yet. Give them good short deals, with the expectation that they can get a 3rd contract before they turn 30.

It is usually a little cheaper to extend non-QBs early. It would be nice to lockup Thompson, he's earned it IMO.
but here the thing--- its got to be a team friendly deal, right? Not too many teams have both safties making good money

wouldnt mind a modest extension for Allen, maybe extend Humphries out a little, and lockup murphy long term.

In three years, Keim turned the worst roster in the league into one of the best. However, he had the advantage of building it around a true QBOTF on a rookie contract.

And so the true test of his GM skills will commence at the end of this season. I think a lot of GMs can build a "one-hit-wonder", but can Keim build a perennial contender? Something like Bilichick (who is the de facto GM of NE, right?) has done in NE.

Interesting language, VJ praising football IQ and smarts in both cases.

Seem to be the non-negotiables on his defense. Keim talked up things like versatility, size, athleticism when he drafted Zaven from memory.

Is Vance right to put football IQ ahead of physical traits?

Exactly, I'll be even more impressed if he can build another roster as good as this one.

If we punch them in the mouth a couple of times early, they might lay down. But Wilson is also auditioning for other teams I guess.

I like our chances to win, but also think Wilson, backed by Penny, might find enough offense to keep it pretty close. Cards by seven, 31-24.
