The Georgia Bulldogs have landed a commitment from former Gonzaga Bulldogs third baseman Mikey Bell. Bell is an elite player on the diamond, as Georgia baseball continues to reload following a stellar campaign in 2026.
Bell was widely regarded as one of the top players in college baseball this season. The third baseman won West Coast Conference (WCC) Player of the Year honors for his efforts at Gonzaga, as Bell hit an impressive .379 on the year with nine home runs and 47 RBIs. Bell recorded 85 total hits in 2026 as well, and the star will likely be a focal point in the Dawgs’ lineup across 2027.
Bell will join the Bulldogs with one year of eligibility remaining. The talented third baseman was named as the WCC Player of the Year in 2025 as well, and Bell will look to make some serious noise across the SEC next season. Georgia baseball had a historic campaign in 2026, and the Dawgs have now added yet another massive weapon in Bell prior to next year.
The Bulldogs have added four total players from the transfer portal in recent weeks. Georgia added three right handed pitchers in Cooper Walls, Luke Howe and Cristofer Cespedes, with Bell being the latest addition following the flamethrower trio.
