Cool but those successes actually happened and had downstream results in the form of wins, fun play, etc, etc.

Monti hasn’t selected a single pro bowler. Theres no standard he’s failed to rise to.
There is no standard he has NOT failed to rise to?

Don't forget Monti's participation in all of the TEN failures during his tenure there too!

I was really pulling for Ossenfort. Truly. And I thought his overall approach was sound.

But there is a mountain of empirical evidence that suggests he has performed very, very poorly during his three years as Cardinals' GM.

It's unacceptable.
The Titans we’re making the playoffs every year during his tenure there but he wasn’t the GM (Director of PP).

You just unlocked the secret of life. The next secret is to fill your time with as much pointless stuff as possible. That's why talking football is sacrosanct. And whatever else that moves to one's groove.
sacrosanct, another one I had to look up...I learned something today, thank you

Not for 2022, the year before we hired him. They went 7-10 and finished on a seven game losing streak.

There's also this gem from the ossenfort era:
  • Trading A.J. Brown: The decision to trade A.J. Brown to the Philadelphia Eagles during the 2022 NFL Draft is often cited as one of the worst personnel moves in recent NFL memory. Brown was a key offensive weapon, and in return, the Titans received draft picks used to select wide receiver Treylon Burks, who has struggled with injuries and inconsistent production.

When we hired Monti, they were starting on the downward trajectory that would lead to TEN having the worst record in the NFL.

He was also part of the staff that traded AJ Brown and chased the best coach they’ve had Vrabel out of town.

Monti is doing OK at drafting. Just OK. He has hit on some players, but his overall success rate is just average compared to other GMs. They need a really good draft where 5 of the seven guys end up as starters. They need to up their scouting, or change their selection criteria. It has been some bad luck with rookies being injured, etc. As we saw, the QB situation made it hard to evaluate guys on offense. New QB, who knows how that affects the devolopment of the younger players going forward?

three years in, isnt his grade a F right now?

they fired the coach he hired

they finished with the worst record in modern franchise history

the two Pro Bowlers on the team were drafted by his predecessor

they have no real answer at QB

Waiting to see what a new coaching staff will do, specifically with Marv, but there's no way you can be optimistic about MO as a long term option. Below Mid GM's keep you in purgatory, and that's exactly what we can expect from MO at this point.

Hard to imagine what his vision is beyond Not Get Fired. That’s the North Star for 100% of GMs but Monti’s timeline is likely way shorter.
