Watertown Arrows, Aberdeen Smittys squads set to close out their seasons

Eight Watertown Arrows and Aberdeen Smittys squads are slated to conclude their seasons in 2026 South Dakota Class A Baseball state tournaments this weekend.

Four state tourneys are scheduled to run Friday through Sunday, July 24-26, at Harrisburg, Renner and Tea (16-and-under), Pierre (14-and-under), Brookings (13-and-under) and Mitchell (13/14-and-under). In the event of rain, the tourneys could push back to Monday, July 27.

Teams will play three pool-play games in the 16U, 14U and 13U tourneys with the top six seeds advancing to Sunday. Teams will play two pool-play games in the 13/14U tourney and be seeded for an eight-team bracket tourney on Sunday.

Watertown and Aberdeen each have one team in each of the four tourneys.

16-and-Under​

• Sites — Harrisburg, Renner and Tea.
• Teams — Aberdeen Smittys (16-15-1 record), Brandon Valley, Brookings, Dakota Valley, Harrisburg, Rapid City Post 22, Rapid City Post 320, Renner, Spearfish, Tea, Watertown Arrows (12-20) and Yankton.
• Pool-Play Games for Area Teams — July 24: Watertown vs. Dakota Valley at Harrisburg, 5 p.m.; and Aberdeen vs. Renner at Renner, 7:30 p.m. July 25: Watertown vs. Rapid City Post 22 at Harrisburg, 1 p.m.; Aberdeen vs. Spearfish at Renner, 1 p.m.; Aberdeen vs. Brandon Valley at Renner, 3:30 p.m.; and Watertown vs. Harrisburg at Harrisburg, 6 p.m.
• 2025 Champion — Yankton.
• Semifinals & Championship (July 26) — Semifinal at noon in Tea, semifinal at 1 p.m. in Harrisburg. Championship at 3:30 p.m. in Harrisburg.

• Teams — Aberdeen Smittys (11-11 record), Brandon Valley, Brookings, Harrisburg, Palace City (Mitchell), Pierre, Rapid City Post 22, Rapid City Post 320, Renner, Tea, Watertown Arrows (18-15) and Yankton.
• Pool-Play Games for Area Teams — July 24: Rapid City Post 22 vs. Aberdeen, noon at Kelley Field; and Rapid City Post 320 vs. Watertown, 2:30 p.m. at Hyde Stadium. July 25: Aberdeen vs. Renner, 9:30 a.m. at Hyde; Harrisburg vs. Watertown, 9:30 a.m. at Kelley; Watertown vs. Palace City, 2:30 p.m. at Kelley; and Brandon Valley vs. Aberdeen, 5 p.m. at Hyde.
