Michigan State football is entering the season with a new starting quarterback, and he spoke with the media following the team's first practice earlier this week.
Alessio Milivojevic is taking over as Michigan State's new starting quarterback and there is plenty of motivation for the Spartans following last year's disappointing campaign. He said the losing season "stings" and is helping motivate them for the upcoming fall.
"There's a lot of motivation," Milivojevic said following the first practice earlier this week. "It stings, it stings to this day. Every time you have a losing season, it will sting. Each play, each moment, you know 'I can't do this again.'"
Milivojevic was named the Spartans starting quarterback following spring practice and comes into this season ending last year as the starter. He started the final four games of the season for Michigan State, and in total appeared in nine games this past season, throwing for 1,267 yards and 10 touchdowns compared to only three interceptions. Additionally, he ran for 59 non-sack rushing yards and one score.
