Washington Commanders Free Agency: Colts S Nick Cross agrees to 2-year deal

The NFL’s legal tampering period started at noon yesterday, and the Washington Commanders have made several moves to bolster their front seven as they continue to retool their defense under new defensive coordinator Daronte Jones. Their had been minimal moves in the secondary beyond the signing of Amik Robertson, but now the Commander are reportedly adding a safety. According to Ian Rapoport, Nick Cross has agreed to a two-year deal worth “up to”$14 million

Cross was drafted by in the third-round by Indianapolis and his role on the defense expanded during his time there. He played nearly 2,300 snaps over the past two years for the Colts, mostly as a box safety, with good run defense returns.
