The Golden State Warriors have struggled on their current road trip, suffering three straight losses before wrapping up the final contest of their six-game road swing on Monday night against the Dallas Mavericks. While the Mavericks have been struggling as well, losing three straight of their own, they weren't going to take it easy on the Warriors.

In the first half, the Mavs jumped to a double-digit lead over the Warriors behind rookie Cooper Flagg and veteran big man Daniel Gafford. In the second quarter, the Mavs stretched their lead to 15 points.

Yet, in the second half, the Warriors made their move. On the way to a run, the Warriors got back into the game in the third quarter. Moses Moody and Brandin Podziemski combined for 16 points in the third quarter as the Warriors tied the game going into the fourth quarter.

The Warriors opened the fourth quarter with an 11-0 run and looked like they were on the way to a comeback win. However, Flagg and the Mavericks struck back, forcing overtime with a game-tying 3-pointer from Max Christie with just over a minute remaining. Both the Mavs and Warriors went scoreless over the final minute to trigger overtime.

In overtime, the Mavericks went cold, shooting just 2-for-8 from the field in the extra period. With the Mavs struggling to score, the Warriors took advantage, outscoring Dallas 11-5 in overtime to secure a 137-131 win.

Flagg finished with a game-high 32 points on 12-of-19 shooting from the field with nine assists and four boards in 42 minutes.

Moody led the Warriors with 23 points on 8-of-20 shooting from the floor with four made 3-pointers in his return to the court from a wrist injury. Despite his strong performance in a much-needed overtime win, the Warriors and Moody's night ended on a somber note.

Late in overtime, Moody stole the ball from Flagg on the way to a wide-open dunk at the rim. As Moody went to the rim, he appeared to suffer a non-contact leg injury. Moody was assisted off the court with a stretcher and a wrap around his left knee. Moody will undergo an MRI when the Warriors return to the Bay Area.

Brandin Podziemski finished with a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds to go along with six assists, a steal and a block in 40 minutes. In his seventh game with the Warriors, Kristaps Porzingis added 22 points in 29 minutes.

The Warriors will get Tuesday off before opening a two-game homestand starting with the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday.
