Stephen Curry hasn't stepped foot on an NBA court since the Golden State Warriors' Jan. 30 loss to the Detroit Pistons. He will also miss the upcoming game against the Atlanta Hawks. Fortunately, Curry was re-evaluated by the Warriors' medical staff on Saturday, March 21, which has provided the team and the fanbase with some good news.

According to a team statement, Curry is making good progress in his recovery and will now begin ramping up the intensity of his on-court workouts.

"Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry, who has missed the last 20 games due to patella-femoral pain syndrome/bone bruising in his right knee, was re-evaluated today," the Warriors statement read. "The re-evaluation indicated that Curry continues to make good progress. He has intensified his individual on-court workouts and, as next steps, he will be incorporated into live action and team practices in the coming days. He will be re-evaluated again after the team returns home next week."

Golden State has two more road games on its schedule before returning to the Bay Area for a two-game home stand. As such, Curry will likely be re-evaluated before the Brooklyn Nets come to town on March 25. However, that doesn't mean we will see him on the floor for that game, or for when the Washington Wizards visit on March 27.

Nevertheless, it would appear that Curry's return to the rotation is nearing, and with it, the Warriors' chances of building some momentum and rhythm ahead of the postseason are improving. For now, though, the franchise must continue to navigate his absence as they look to get back into the win column, having lost their last two games and four of the last five.
