The Golden State Warriors have failed to capitalize on what was a commanding lead against the Houston Rockets in their first-round NBA playoffs series. After going up 3-1, the Warriors lost back-to-back games to allow Houston to tie the series up at 3-3.

This only means that everything will be on the line for Game 7 in Houston on Sunday, with the winner of that do-or-die matchup proceeding to the next round.

Steph Curry's thumb injury has been one of the biggest talking points throughout this series, but it does not seem that it has bothered him significantly. The former back-to-back MVP has had some form of bandage wrapped over his shooting hand to protect his thumb, but he has been playing through the issue for the past several games.

The same will be the case again come Sunday after the Warriors announced their decision on Curry's status for the pivotal matchup. The team revealed via the official injury report that the 11-time All-Star will be available to play in Game 7.

There wasn't really any doubt here. Curry simply wasn't going to let this injury prevent him from suiting up in his team's most important game of the season.

By revealing Curry's status in the injury report, the Warriors have now confirmed that, barring any unforeseen setbacks, the 37-year-old will be in the starting lineup for Sunday's clash.

Curry has been in this situation in the past, and he knows exactly what he needs to do to lead Golden State to victory. The Rockets, however, are certainly not going down without a proper fight.
