Now that LeBron James has made his decision, Draymond Green becomes the biggest free agent priority for the Warriors. That said, a breakup between the two sides never seemed like a real possibility.
According to The Athletic, Golden State is likely to re-sign Green to a contract worth near $28 million, a similar amount to the deal he opted out of ($27.7 million) to give the franchise financial flexibility this summer.
However, it'll be interesting to monitor whether or not the franchise hopes to reach a multi-year deal with Green. Head coach Steve Kerr is under contract for the next two seasons, while Steph Curry has one year remaining on his current deal.
