The Golden State Warriors' season came to an unfortunate end against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

What's worse is that many Warriors fans feel like they never got the chance once Stephen Curry went down with a hamstring injury in Game 1.

While they walked away from that night with a win, it felt like anything but, as their superstar guard would be sidelined.

There was optimism that Curry could've returned if the Warriors had stretched the series to six games. We'll never know, however, as the Warriors dropped the next four games.

Brandin Podziemski came alive in the final game, shooting 4-for-6 from deep, but was a combined 3-for-17 in the four games prior.

According to The Athletic's Anthony Slater, the Warriors are likely looking to add better shooting options and could target De'Anthony Melton for a possible return.

While it's not a move that would make headlines, he's a sensible fit. He becomes even more intriguing when you include the fact that they could probably get him for the veteran's minimum.

That way, if they choose to sign-and-trade with restricted free agent Jonathan Kuminga, they can address other needs, like acquiring a true big man rather than shooters.
