Voting is open for Feb. 7-13 Gadsden Times Girls Athlete of the Week

It's that time of the week — time to vote for the Gadsden area girls' athlete of the week.

This year, The Gadsden Times will split the boys' and girls' polls. Below is the girls poll featuring some of the top athletic performances from the last week, Feb. 1-6. For the Feb. 6 poll, Gaston's Charlie Skaggs won the vote.

Any AHSAA sports team in the Gadsden area can nominate an athlete for the top performers and the poll. Nominees for athlete of the week come from the top performers the week before. Coaches and team stat keepers can send in stats to nominate players for top performer lists. Voting will last until noon Thursday.

• Albertville's Lani Smallwood - 25 points, 12 rebounds, 11 assists, 6 steals, 3 blocks vs. Sparkman
• Glencoe's Kinlee Montgomery - 66 points in 3 games
• Guntersville's Kenna'D Buie - 28 points, 10 rebounds
• Plainview's Sawyer Kate Hulgan - 29 points vs. Alexandria
• Sand Rock's Maddie Clanton - 35 points, 26 rebounds in 2 games
• Sardis' Vada Willmore - 71 points in 3 games
