This is part of a continuing summer series, examining the 2026 Arizona high school football season. The Arizona Republic breaks down the 10 best dynamic duos. Usually, it's the quarterback-to-wide receiver connection. But it can be any position. It's how these guys together impact the game.
We've included a poll below where readers can vote for the dyanamic duo they think is No. 1. Print readers can find the poll with this story online at azcentral.com/sports/high-schools.

1. QB Jax Sculley, WR Roye Oliver III, Hamilton
In 2025, they were dialing it up from any part of the football field to fuel a high-powered Huskies' offense. Big-time connection that will flourish in 2026 as long as Sculley can stay healthy. He's coming back from a second ACL surgery in two years, but if he's ready to go, watch out. Sculley passed for 2,947 yards and 41 touchdowns in just 9½ games last season. Oliver had 29 touchdown catches.
2. QB Will Mencl, WR Jai Jones, Chandler
These guys have developed a great chemistry on the field together since last season when they helped lead the Wolves to the Open Division state final. When they're clicking, there's no stopping them. 10 of Mencl's 33 TD passes last season went to Jones.
3. QB Kane "Boogie" Anetema, WR Kingston Anetema, Mesa
The brothers have been on the same page since they were little kids throwing the football around in the backyard. They've got a special connection that should take off in coach Ryan Felker's system. Watch for big-time plays all over the field on Friday nights.
4. RB Jaylee Abraham, RB Derrion Bartholomew, Peoria Centennial
This is lightning and thunder out of the backfield and don't be surprised if they're on the field at the same time. Bartholomew is expected to have his big breakout season between the tackles. Abraham, a transfer, was a touchdown machine at Tucson Desert View last year on an 11-1 team, getting into the end zone 38 times, 33 on the ground.
5. QB Kael Snyder, WR Amos Augustine, Gilbert Perry
This may be the year that everything goes just right for Snyder with Augustine on the receiving end of many big touchdown throws. Snyder's arm is as strong as anybody's and Augustine's got the jets to burn secondaries.
6. QB Jake Rogers, WR Jaden Baldwin, Chandler Basha
Rogers showed flashes last year of what he can do with the football with quality reps, helping the Bears win the Open Division state title. He'll make sure the speedy Baldwin is a focal point, finding him in tight windows and on deep throws. He's capable to taking it to the house every time he touches the ball.
7. QB Blake Roskopf, WR Zerek Sidney, Goodyear Desert Edge
A healthy Sidney should pay off big for the Scorpions, who are expected to open up the playbook this year with the addition of big, physical receiver Jay Rawls. This is a dangerous team with so many playmakers, but it's led with the great chemistry between Roskopf and Sidney.
8. QB Tee Smith, WR Troy Jauregui, Queen Creek Casteel
Casteel has added talented wide receiver RJ Gory, a transfer from Tucson Salpointe Catholic. But it's going to be a lot more of Smith and Jauregui that will lead them back to the 6A final. They were incredible in last year's 6A championship win over Centennial with Jauregui winning the MVP award for catching two TD passes and returning a punt 86 yards for a score.
9. QB Cayden Schlueter, WR Allan Turner, Gilbert Higley
Schlueter could turn into one of the better comeback stories of the season, a kid who transferred last year from Chandler, only to suffer a torn ACL and have his sophomore season taken away. He's ready to put the adversity behind and show what he can do. He'll have one of the most underrated wide receivers to help write his comeback story.
10. DB Keaton Fields, DB Kacey Allen Jr., Hamilton
These 2028 stars are going to command the middle of the field in the secondary, both talented safeties who can also play in the box as corners. They're defensive playmakers and both have earned golden tickets from Arizona State.
