With the spring sports season officially over, it is time to vote for The Times-Reporter team of the year.
Fans can pick who they think is the most deserving team until Monday, June 22 at 5 p.m.
Here are the nominees for The Times-Reporter 2026 spring team of the year.

New Philadelphia
The Quakers went 21-4 throughout the season and 13-1 in the Ohio Cardinal Conference for a share of the conference title. Senior Owen Courtney was named OCC Player of the Year, and head coach Tyler Weisel was the OCC Coach of the Year. Six Quakers were named to first, second or honorable mention in the OCC. The success for New Phila didn't stop in the regular season. The Quakers opened their tournament run with a 7-2 victory in the district semifinals over Zanesville. In the district championship game, New Phila found itself trailing Tri-Valley 2-0 in the sixth inning. After a hit by pitch brought in one run, the Quakers bases loaded with one out in the bottom of the seventh inning, when sophomore Jack Range hit a pop fly to center field driving in two runs and earning a spot in the regional tournament. New Philadelphia's tournament run came to an end after a regional semifinal loss to London where the Quakers were shut out 3-0.
Strasburg
The Tigers had an overall record of 22-8 on the season and went 11-1 in Inter-Valley Conference games, winning the IVC's Northern Division. Sophomore Brody Baughman took home Player of the Year for the conference and head coach Mike Becker was named Coach of the Year. As a team, Becker saw five of his players earn first, second or honorable mention awards for the IVC. Strasburg opened its tournament run with a dominating performance, outscoring opponents 26-3 in the district tournament on the way to a regional appearance. In the Tigers regional semifinal they won a thriller, taking down Green 12-8. Strasburg saw its season come to an end after 12 long innings against South Webster, losing on a walk-off single.
Tuscarawas Valley
The Trojans went 22-5 throughout the season and were a perfect 12-0 in the IVC's Southern Division. Junior pitcher Brennen Reichman was named Player of the Year, and head coach Staci Martin was named Coach of the Year in the IVC. Martin saw five of her players get named to the first, second or honorable mentions in the IVC. After a dominating regular season, the Trojans started their postseason run with consecutive shutouts to win a district championship. In Tusky Valley's regional semifinals game it took down Meigs Marauders 3-1 to play in the championships game; however, after nine innings of back-and-forth scoring, Wheelersburg took down the Trojans 7-6 in the bottom of the ninth.
Conotton Valley
The Rockets went 20-8 over the season and 11-1 in the IVC for a share of the conference title. Conotton Valley had six players make the conference's first, second or honorable mention teams. After a successful regular season, the Rockets won a district championship after outscoring opponents 20-0. In the regional semifinals, the rockets notched another shutout defeating Symmes Valley 5-0. In the regional championship, Conotton Valley was unable to come back after allowing three runs in the first inning losing to eventual D7 state champion Portsmouth Notre Dame.
New Philadelphia
During the regular season, the Quakers placed first in the OCC after racking up 147 points, edging Ashland by one point. Senior Marcus Adelman was named Runner of the Year and head coach Jeremy Rodgers was named Coach of the Year for the OCC. At districts, New Phila rolled to a championship, scoring 119 points. At regionals, the Quakers placed second with 63 points. In the state meet, New Philadelphia captured a state title with 41 points. At the state meet Marcus Adelman placed first in the 3200-meter run, Wyatt Lendon placed first in the 1600-meter run and as a team the Quakers had seven athletes stand on the podium as top-eight finishers.
