Our preseason watchlist for Vermont high school baseball is in the works. But before that publication, it's now time for you — the reader — to cast your vote for the Burlington Free Press' baseball preseason player of the year powered by Delta Dental.

After reaching out for confirmation from coaches and athletic directors around the state, we put together a list of Vermont's top returning girls lacrosse players based on recognition from last year's coaches' all-state and all-league squads and other names deserving of inclusion.

Athletes: Tell your family members, friends and teammates, and share on your social media pages.

How do I cast my vote?​

All voting is through the ballot at burlingtonfreepress.com. We will not accept votes through email or through social media.

Voting began on Friday, April 10, and continues through 9 p.m. on Thursday, April 16.

What are the voting rules?​

There is no limit on the number of times you can vote. So vote for your favorite athletes as many times as you'd like!

How do we learn who wins?​

The winner will be announced at burlingtonfreepress.com on Friday, April 17.
