Top-notch quarterbacks are usually at the foundation of elite high school football programs, and there has been no shortage of star signal callers in recent years in the Greater Savannah area.

Benedictine has had an impressive run of star quarterbacks with Stephen Cannon (now a freshman at Texas Tech), Luke Kromenhoek of the University of South Florida and Pitt's Holden Geriner moving on to play at the Division I level.

Calvary Day alum Jake Merklinger has transferred to play at UConn after starting his college career at Tennessee.

As the 2026 season is set to kick off in about a month, we recently took a look at the top returning quarterbacks in the Greater Savannah area.

Now readers have a chance to pick their favorite in an open poll with no restrictions on the voting. The poll will close on Thursday, July 23, at 10 a.m.
