The boys basketball season in the Greater Savannah area ended on the highest of notes as Savannah High came through with a dramatic rally in the final minutes to beat McIntosh Academy to win the GHSA Class A Division II championship.

It was the first state title for the Blue Jackets since 1998, and the program's 12th state crown — the most GHSA state championships of any team in Georgia history.

St. Andrew's won its third GIAA State title in the last four seasons, and Windsor Forest reached the GHSA state semifinals as teams from the Coastal Empire continued to show that the area is a hotbed for talent in the state of Georgia.

We recently published the 2025 All-Greater Savannah Boys Basketball team. Now readers have a chance to vote for their favorite player in an open poll with no restrictions on the voting. The poll will close on Monday, April 14, at 11 a.m.

The poll is not related to the 2025 Coastal Empire High School Sports Awards Show, where the All-Greater Savannah girls and boys Basketball Players of the Year will be revealed on May 27 at the Johnny Mercer Theater.

Here are the candidates.
