The end of the spring high school sports regular season is nearly upon us in the Greater Taunton area.
Last week, Taunton baseball extended its winning streak to seven games while Bridgewater-Raynham baseball and track and field secured the inaugural Pioneer Athletic Conference crowns. Dighton-Rehoboth baseball shut out rivals Seekonk while both Taunton and Dighton-Rehoboth volleyball swept an opponent in three sets and Bristol-Plymouth track and field had a top five finisher at the MVADA Championship.
The Taunton Daily Gazette High School Boys Athlete of the Week for May 4-10 is Bristol Aggie baseball's Brock Wilson, receiving 93% of the vote. Dighton-Rehoboth volleyball's Andrew Cabral came in second with 6% while Taunton baseball's Joey Benoit received 1% to finish third.

Melo went 2-for-4 with a triple, a run and 6 RBIs against Franklin.
Mahoney went 3-for-4 with a home run, a run and 3 RBIs against Franklin.
Cruz went 5 innings giving up an earned run on 4 hits and 5 walks while striking out 7 and going 2-for-2 with a home run, a pair of stolen bases, 3 runs and 3 RBIs at the plate against Southeastern.
Silva went 3-for-3 with a pair of stolen bases, a pair of runs and an RBI against Seekonk.
Lima had 4 goals and an assist against Greater New Bedford.
Alves was crowned champion in both the 400 meter hurdles (1:06.26) and pole vault (12 feet, personal best) at the inaugural PAC-3 Championship.
Providence had 6 kills and 6 digs against Southeastern.
Cabral had 14 kills against Foxboro Regional Charter.
