Many Southern Tier athletes have stood out during the spring season, with some breaking long-standing school records and others claiming first-ever New York State tournament victories. After compiling a very long list of Southern Tier athletes who have dominated in their respective sports, and all of whom have created headlines and made a significant impact this season, here are our choice spring male athletes of the season in each sport:

Horseheads baseball's Mason Markle pitched four shutout games leading up to Horseheads’ baseball team’s deep state tournament run, including two shutout victories against Vestal to win the Section 4 Class AA championship series and secure its fifth-straight sectional title.
Horseheads boys lacrosse's Brogan Sullivan finished the season with over 80 points and led Section 4 in total assists (54), as well as being named to the Section 4 D1 first team. The sophomore attacker had four goals and three assists in the dominant 15-0 victory over eight-time sectional champions Vestal. Sullivan also recorded two goals and one assist in the program’s first-ever state tournament win over Ballston Spa lacrosse.

Binghamton boys track's Milo Wilson won the Section 4 Class A title in the high jump with a personal best of 7 feet, putting him in the top 25 nationally via Mileplit.com results. The senior also broke the Section 4 record of 6 feet, 10 inches, held since 1990 by Moravia's Bill Rhodes.
Ithaca boys tennis’ Orion Patie went undefeated in singles matches this season, winning eight matches in two straight sets, as well as claiming the team’s only tournament singles match victory in the 6-1 team loss to Half Hollow Hills in the state tennis tournament.
