Every SouthCoast softball team played at least one game last week in the first full week of the spring sports season.

Each week during the regular season, we will highlight the top performances.

Here’s your chance to vote for the top high school performance from SouthCoast softball players from the past week.

Editor’s note: Voting will end at 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 13.


Marissa Kelly, Apponequet​


In three games, Kelly has gone a combined 7-for-10 with 6 runs scored and 4 RBIs.

Reese Taylor, Apponequet​


Taylor has been strong on the mound and at the plate. In three games, she’s gone a combined 8-for-10 with 3 RBIs and 6 runs scored. She’s pitched 15 scoreless innings, allowing just 3 hits with 34 strikeouts.

Olivia Brien, Bishop Stang​


In a win over Bourne, Brien had 3 RBIs and 3 hits, including a home run.

Melanie Peckham, Bishop Stang​


Peckham went 4-for-4 with 5 RBIs as Stang beat Bourne.

Kasey Pomfret, Dartmouth​


In a win over Westport, Pomfret threw 6 scoreless innings, striking out 10 while allowing 4 hits and no walks. At the plate, she had a team-high four hits.

Kaia Furtado, Fairhaven​


In two games, Furtado had a combined 4 hits and an RBI. She also picked up the win against Durfee, striking out seven while allowing seven hits.

Stella Zangao, Fairhaven​


Zangao had a combined 3 hits and 4 RBIs in a pair of games.

Zoe Teixeira, GNB Voc-Tech​


Teixeira was 3-for-4 with 3 RBIs and 2 runs scored against Seekonk.

Alexia Tsonis, GNB Voc-Tech​


Tsonis went 4-for-4 with 4 runs scored in a win over Seekonk.

Akira-ley Vasquez, GNB Voc-Tech​


In two games, Vasquez struck out 19 while allowing a combined 11 hits. At the plate, she went 2-for-7 with 4 RBIs and a run scored.

Lily Gonet, New Bedford​


Against Barnstable, Gonet had 3 hits and 3 runs scored.

Jasmine Goodine, New Bedford​


In two games, Goodine had a combined 2 hits, including the first of her career, and 2 RBIs.

Ivy Mattos, New Bedford​


Mattos had a home run, double and 2 RBIs in a win over Barnstable.

Maura McEvoy, New Bedford​


McEvoy got the win for New Bedford, allowing one earned run on 3 hits and no walks while striking out 12 against Barnstable. She added 3 hits and 2 RBIs at the plate.

Jolee Anderson, Wareham​


Anderson drove in 6 runs on 3 hits in a win over Nauset.

Samantha Purcell, Wareham​


Against Nauset, Purcell went 3-for-3 with 2 RBIs.
