There were some stellar performances in track meets last week as Richmond Hill had an impressive showing with the Wildcat boys and girls teams in a meet they hosted ― the Apex Invite.
Kendrick Joshua, the University of Georgia bound senior, won the 200 meters and also took home the title in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 36.67, the fourth best in the nation this year and the top mark across all classifications in Georgia.
Jacoby Pasley of Bradwell Institute continued to excel in a stellar junior campaign as he swept the sprints at the L.C. Smith & Winfred Benson Relays in Albany.
There were also some strong showings on the baseball field last week — including Benedictine sweeping a three-game series with Wayne County.

The senior track and field star, who has signed with Georgia, won the 300 meter hurdles at the Apex Invitational with a time of 36.67 and also won the 200 meters (21.54) in the meet hosted by the Wildcats. Joshua's 300 hurdle time is the best in Georgia this season, across all classifications, and the fourth best in the country.
The junior swept the sprints at the L.C. Smith & Winfred Benson Relays in Albany with a 100-meter time of 10.46. He also won the 200 meters in 21.13 and the 400 meters in 48.83. His 100 time is the second best in the state this year across all classifications. He has the top 400 meter time in the state this year at 47.33 and the second best 200 meter mark at 20.97.
The junior won the 100 meters at the Apex Invite with a time of 10.72 and finished second in the 200 meters (21.78).
The freshman won three events at the Apex Invitational taking home the titles in the 100 meters in 12.40, the 200 meters (25.33) and the 400 meters (56.97).
The senior won the long jump at the Apex Invite with a leap of 18-7 and also took home the title in the triple jump (38-4), both marks were personal bests. She was also second in the 100 meter hurdles (15.36) and the 300 hurdles (46.89).
The junior had a strong showing at the Apex Invite as he won the 1600 meters in 4:19.90 and also took home the 800 meter title in 1:58.35.
The senior went 3 for 3 with a double, home run, two runs and seven RBIs in a win over Vidalia.
The senior had a personal best, setting a school record in the discus, as he won the event at the Apex Invitational with a toss of 168-2. He was second in the shot put at the event with a throw of 51-4.
The senior earned the pitching win in a 6-0 victory over SE Bulloch as he struck out eight and walked one, allowing four hits in six innings of work. He helped his own cause by going 1 for 3 with an RBI.
The junior won the shot put at the Apex Invitational, setting a school record with a throw of 51-9.
The junior won the 100 meter hurdles (15.01) and the 300 hurdles (43.92) at the Apex Invite and was also fourth in the 200 meters (27.06)
The junior won the high jump in the Apex Invite with a mark of 5-5.5 and also won the event at the Boys Hayes High School Invite in Florida with a mark of 1.66 meters (5-feet, 4.5 inches).
The sophomore had five goals in a win over SE Bulloch. She has 39 goals this season for the Cavs (9-3).
The junior went 3 for 3 with a triple, three runs and three RBIs in a win over Lakeside.
The senior went 2 for 4 with a run and three RBIs in a win over Beaufort Academy.
The junior went 3 for 3 with a home run, two runs and three RBIs in a win over Wayne County.
