The high school soccer season is off and running after games kicked off in early February and there are some boys teams from the Greater Savannah area that are already making their presence felt.
The Islands boys are off to a 7-0 start and earned the No. 1 ranking among Class 3A teams in the State Coaches Poll, a first in program history.
Benedictine, Savannah Country Day, Richmond Hill, Woodville-Tompkins, Jenkins and Johnson are all off to strong starts in what looks to be an excellent season on the local front.
We recently published a list of the top guys players to watch in the Greater Savannah area for the 2026. This is a chance for readers to weigh in and select the early season Savannah area Boys Soccer Player of the Year in an open poll with no restrictions on the voting. The poll will close on Monday, March 9, at 11 a.m.
