There were several top performers across the state in boys high school sports, but only one can be voted as the Clarion Ledger athlete of the week for May 11-16.

Fans may vote in the poll BELOW one time per hour per device. The poll closes at noon on Friday.

Fischer Howell, Petal: Howell produced two home runs with three RBIs in Petal's win against Brandon.

Will Jones, Regents of Oxford: Jones had five hits with seven RBIs in Regents School of Oxford's 2-1 series win against Prairie View Academy (La.) for the MAIS 2A D-I title.

Hendrix Magee, Mize: Magee recorded a home run with four RBIs in Mize's win against Clarkdale.

Pryce Pinkins, Oxford: Pinkins had a home run with two RBIs and pitched three innings with four strikeouts as Oxford won against Lewisburg.

Landyn Wilson, Pearl River Central: Wilson recorded four hits and two RBIs in Pearl River Central's 2-1 series win against George County.
