We've passed the midway point of the 2026 Iowa high school softball season and several teams from the Ames area are having a successful year.
Collins-Maxwell, Gilbert and Roland-Story all had winning records entering the week of June 14-20. Ames, Ballard and Nevada were all just below the .500 mark.
Along with those winning teams, there have been several tremendous individual performers from the area.
Who should be the 2026 mid-season most valuable player from the Ames area? Cast your vote to make your voice heard.
