Welcome to the MyCentralJersey.com Readers’ Choice Baseball Player of the Week poll after the fourth full week of action.

Area teams include squads from the Greater Middlesex Conference, Skyland and area Union counties.

Please note that the votes don't always show up immediately. There are lags for the votes to register and a winner isn't declared until hours after the poll closes.

The poll closes Thursday at noon.

Maddox Chu

Rutgers Prep

Junior


Chu had back-to-back wins over Warren Hills that locked up the Skyland Valley Division title for the Argonauts. He was 3-for-5 with six RBIs and a homer.

David Hudock

Delaware Valley

Junior


Hudock drove in six runs with four doubles in the Terriers 3-1 week that was highlighted by three straight wins.

Ryan Hutchins

Dunellen

Senior


Hutchins has been a big part of the Destroyers’ eight-game winning streak. He hit .571 (8-for-14) in four wins last week with six RBIs, nine runs, seven stolen bases and four walks. Hutchins also earned the victory with two innings of relief with five strikeouts in the 13-6 win over Linden. For the season, he’s hitting .419 with 15 stolen bases, 20 runs and nine RBIs.

Langston McDonald

Pingry

Sophomore


The righty pitched five innings for the win, striking out four and walking four in Pingry's 5-1 win at Bernards. He also had three RBIs and a double. The win was the Big Blue's first of the season.

Felix Munoz

East Brunswick

Senior


Munoz helped boost the Bears to a 3-0 week in the GMC Red Division that included a sweep over Edison and a win over St. Joseph to complete the sweep. He hit .778 (7-for-9) with seven RBIs and two runs scored. He also walked twice and was hit by a pitch.

Cory Pascarella

Colonia

Senior


Pascarella is making a case for the GMC Player of the Year. He’s coming off another Player of the Week performance – last Tuesday against North Brunswick. He went 4-for-4 with eight RBIs and was a triple away from the cycle, along with two walks and five runs scored in a 29-4 win. A day earlier, the righthander threw a one-hit, two-walk shutout with 11 strikeouts in a 4-0 win over Sayreville. He hit .533 (8-for-15) with 13 RBIs as the Patriots went 4-0.

Eric Thompson

Carteret

Senior


Thompson boosted the Ramblers on the mound and at the plate in their 3-0 week. Friday, he hurled six shutout innings with nine strikeouts as Carteret topped J.F. Kennedy 5-0. Thompson was a sparkplug on the bases hitting .375 (3-for-8) in the three wins with four walks, five stolen bases, five runs scored and drove in two runs.
