The Toronto Blue Jays beat the Philadelphia Phillies 7-5 on Saturday night at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, improving to 56-62 on the season.
The Jays got a two-run home run from Nathan Lukes in the 11th inning to earn the victory while Lazaro Estrada earned the save on the mound. Lukes was a revelation last season, but has been less dependable this season after getting injured earlier in the year. That said, he has some power. That was his sixth home run in 83 games.
Speaking of power, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hit his seventh home run of the season in the victory as well, continuing his trend of only hitting home runs on the road. He has still yet to hit a home run at Rogers Centre.
As noted by Mitch Bannon of 'The Athletic,' Guerrero revealed that he missed a few games this week with hamstring inflammation. He had an MRI which confirmed that, but he said he can play through it.

While it's evident that he's not 100 percent, the team needs Guerrero to play through it when he can, as they are putting together one of the worst slugging seasons in team history. Though Guerrero is certainly part of that, he's also the best chance at helping the team turn it around over the final two months.
The Jays have dealt with extensive injury news this season: George Springer, Alejandro Kirk and Jesus Sanchez have missed time, while Addison Barger has played only nine games and Anthony Santander hasn't played any.
The fact that Guerrero only has seven home runs is completely baffling, as he's traditionally one of the best power hitters in the entire league.
Despite the loss, Toronto is just 3.5 games back of the third and final wild card spot in the American League. It's been an incredibly disappointing season for Toronto, who had designs on winning the World Series after last year's run to Game 7 agains the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The Jays and Phillies will wrap up the series on Sunday afternoon at 1:35 p.m. ET as Shane Bieber takes the mound against Jesus Luzardo.
Bieber, who wasn't traded at the deadline, is 3-2 with a 5.11 ERA. He's a free agent at the end of the season. Luzardo is enjoying an excellent season, as he's 10-5 with a 3.36 ERA.
A free agent after the campaign, Bieber is trying to position himself well in the offseason, but the offseason is obviously in flux because of impending labor issues.
There is a fear that the league could miss games in 2027 as a result.
