The Big East announced its All-Conference teams on Monday and the Wildcats landed three players on different teams.
Acaden Lewis was named to the Second Team in year one with the Wildcats. The point guard became the program’s leader in assists and steals for a freshman. He was named Freshman of the Week in the Big East five times while also being apart of the All-Freshman Team in the conference. Lewis averaged 12.5 points and 5.3 assists per game this season. His shining moment came in his hometown against Georgetown when he poured in 26 points on 11-for-15 shooting, including two big three’s at the end to salt the game away.
Tyler Perkins and Duke Brennan were third Team selections. Perkins led Villanova in scoring at 13.7 points per game this season. Perkins put up 15.2 points per game in conference play while also grabbing 6.2 rebounds per game. He took on an extended role this season after coming off the bench for the Wildcats last year.
Brennan was an impact transfer for Villanova, coming over from Grand Canyon. He logged 14 double-doubles this season on his way to putting up 12.3 points and 10.5 rebounds per game. Brennan ended the regular season with a 20-point, 13-rebound performance against Xavier on Senior Day.
