The NFL Draft has come and gone, but that doesn't mean mock draft shenanigans are going anywhere. In fact, the staff at Bleacher Report took a deep dive of a different sort as they went through picks that included combining several classes into one.

The result was a loaded group of talent, and results that we have never seen outside of a Madden franchise fantasy draft.

They explain the process, stating, "The premise is simple: If every player selected in the last five classes suddenly became available in a megadraft, who would go where?. . .Each team gets one franchise-tag pick to keep the rosters anchored in reality. The catch: The franchised player had to be drafted before 2022."

From there, they decided to go two rounds deep in this unique mock draft re-do, and the Vikings made the most of their two picks. The first pick the Vikings land is All-Pro cornerback Derek Stingley after the team franchise tagged Justin Jefferson in the process. They explain the pick, writing, "Derek Stingley Jr. might not have the same cachet among casual fans as Patrick Surtain II or Sauce Gardner, but he's also one of the NFL's top lockdown cornerbacks. Stingley has allowed fewer than 50 percent of the targets thrown his way to get completed for three years running. Quarterbacks haven't posted a passer rating above 54.0 against him since his rookie season in 2022."

Their second-round pick was cornerback/wide receiver combo Travis Hunter, who completes the secondary and gives the team a unique WR2 potential. The idea of Stingley and Hunter being in a defense coached by Brian Flores would be very fun to watch unfold on a week-to-week basis.

So enjoy that mental image because it will not likely happen anytime soon, if ever, in this league.
