Vikings fan favorite will not be returning to Minnesota in 2025

The Minnesota Vikings know how reliable Adam Thielen is and can be for a team, especially a quarterback. The Vikings legend was a free agent in 2025 and some folks thought perhaps he would return to the team as a possible way for them to further solidify the offense around J.J. McCarthy.

Sadly for the Vikings, Adam Thielen will not be returning to the Vikings as he re-signed with the Carolina Panthers last week.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler announced that Theilen agreed to the revised contract to allow his return to the Panthers. In 2024, he had a slow start to the season, but following Bryce Young's return to the starting lineup, Thielen became his favorite target. He averaged 72 yards per game and scored five touchdowns in the final seven weeks of the season for the Panthers.

He played in just 10 games in total but was well on his way to his fourth career thousand-yard season.
