The Minnesota Vikings reportedly have five finalists for their general manager opening.

According to CBS Sports' Jonathan Jones, the Vikings have requested a second round of in-person interviews with interim GM Rob Brzezinski, Broncos assistant GM Reed Burckhardt, Bills assistant GM Terrance Gray, Rams assistant GM John McKay and Seahawks assistant GM Nolan Teasley.

All five of those candidates have connections to the Vikings, Jones notes:

"Quick connections in less than 280 characters: Brzezinski is a longtime Vikings exec. Burckhardt and Gray each spent more than a decade in Minnesota. McKay worked with KOC in L.A. And Teasley is No. 2 in personnel for the Super Bowl champs," Jones added on each candidate.

What Vikings are looking for in new GM

Yahoo Sports' Jori Epstein spoke with Vikings owner Mark Wilf, who laid out what the team is looking for in its next general manager:

"Vikings care less about evaluator vs. cap than they do about GM who leads," she said. "Doesn't sound like they'll split who leads business vs. evaluation."

"We still ultimately need to have a leader who represents ownership who can bring the building together," Wilf said to Epstein.

The Vikings entered the general manager market earlier this offseason when the team fired former GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah.

Minnesota decided to wait on hiring a new general manager until after the 2026 NFL Draft.

Now, it looks like we could be just days away from the Vikings finding Adofo-Mensah's replacement.
