The 2025 NFL Draft hasn't been over for a week yet, and we are already looking ahead to the 2026 installment of everyone's second favorite event on the calendar. While nothing replaces the Super Bowl, the draft has shown it is the second-best thing for fans every year.
Thanks to draft analysts like Jordan Reid at ESPN, we already have a 2026 NFL Mock Draft to see what they think the Vikings need for the next draft cycle.
The Vikings only had four draft picks, and they addressed their most significant need in round one when they drafted Donovan Jackson. The team has a complete roster for the most part, and they will get to see what J.J. McCarthy will do in 2025. Despite that, they could still use another cornerback, according to Reid, which is why he mocked them Penn State's A.J. Harris.
Reid writes, "The Vikings have plenty of questions at corner, save for recently extended Byron Murphy Jr. They didn't select one this year, so it could be the position they target immediately in 2026. Harris thrived in his first season at Penn State after transferring from Georgia, showing easy vertical speed and change-of-direction ability. He attaches in man coverage but also shows comfort in zone. Scouts just want to see more ball production, as he had only one interception in 2024."
The Penn State defender is poised for a big year in a loaded conference regarding wide receiver talent to test him. Right now he would appear to be a nice addition to the roster in 2026 as we project ahead.
