The UFC's return to its "Sin City" home base featured a first-of-its-kind submission Saturday.
Alice Ardelean (12-7 MMA, 3-2 UFC) pulled off a finish that had everyone wondering what just happened when she tapped Polyana Viana (13-9 MMA, 4-8 UFC) with a capsule lock. When Viana locked up a body triangle from her back, Ardelean postured up and used Viana’s own legs to put pressure on the knee to force a verbal tap.
